Longmont is conveniently located just ten minutes north of Boulder, CO.; happily just close enough to enjoy the cultural offerings while paying less impressively for the benefits of proximity.
So, art, entertainment, music, food and drink, parks and open space, Rocky Mountain views, red rock, walking and biking paths, farmers markets, amazing plein air choices, fresh air and cooler temps await you. Additionally, Denver-level culture (art markets, symphony, Denver Art Museum, Clifford Still Museum, sports, big shopping, Zoo, Natural History, Colorado History, and more views of the Rockies (stone as well as baseball) awaits within 40 minutes.
If you are flying in, the art supply shops are great. Meiningers and Guiry’s each have a shop in Boulder, so no need to travel with supplies.
